1What is Silent Disco
Silent Disco or Silent Party is traditionally known as an event where people dance to music through wireless headphones. Rather than using a speaker system to transmit music, it is broadcasted via a radio frequency to the headphones. Those at the event without headphones cannot hear the music which gives the appearance of participants dancing to nothing... except for those who like to sing.
2Do I have to hire my own DJ or do you provide one?
You can use the DJ of your choice or we can provide one for you. Alternatively, you can hook our equipment up to your own devices to transmit music to the headphones without using a DJ at all.
3How long has Silent Disco been around?
Silent Disco parties started in popping up in the late 90's and early 2000's. This unique concept was originally developed by eco-activists to control noise pollution.
4Do you have to use the headphones for music only?
No. We also provide services to corporations for multi-lingual events. If you need to present to an audience in different languages, our equipment will make this a breeze to have everyone in the same room participating in their native language. Additionally, Silent Cinema is also an option. You can host an outdoor movie party using the headphones to listen to up to 3 different movie options at the same time... or just one to keep the neighbors from complaining.
5Can I use the headphones at home?
You can use the headphones at home but they are not Bluetooth so you would need our specialized equipment to transmit the sound.
6Can I purchase my own Silent Night Event Headphones and Equipment
Yes. Please contact us for details on purchasing your own equipment.
7How long is the transmission range?
Because we use specialized radio frequencies to transmit the audio, you can broadcast up to 300 yards. That's nearly 3 football lengths. Some can reach further but for best sound quality we like to keep our events under 300 meters.
8How long will the headphones last?
Our headphones are designed to last up to 10hours on a single charge.
9How many audio channels can I use at one time?
You can have up to 3 audio channels transmitting at the same time.
10Can I rent Silent Night Event headphones for longer than 24 hours.
Yes. We can customize your headphone rental experience to meet your needs.
11What happens if the headphones and equipment are damaged, lost, or stolen?
It is highly recommended to have good security measures in place to protect the equipment you rent from Silent Night Events. You can also explain to your party attendees the importance of taking care of the headphones and that they will not work without our specialized equipment.
Should something go missing or is damaged, you will be responsible for a $100 replacement fee for each missing item.
12How do I reserve my date and headphone equipment for my party?
We require a $200 or 20% (whichever is greater) non-refundable deposit to secure your reservation. Your balance is due 7 days prior to your event. We accept all major credit cards and PayPal.
13Will you provide staff for my event?
Headphone Rentals - to keep the cost down, we do not provide staff for rentals. One of our staff members will show you how to operate our equipment and connect to your devices prior to your party but we will not have staff present during your party.
Party Packages - When you book a party package with a DJ through us, we will also provide you will full-service event staff so you can enjoy your night and let us handle the rest. If you have volunteers for your event, you can save by reducing the number of Silent Night Events staff and allowing us to show them the ropes. We will always have a minimum of 1 event staff member for set-up and take-down. The amount of event staff members present will be based on the size of your party.
14Do you ship the equipment?
At this time, we are not offering shipping for our equipment. We are servicing the entire state of Missouri and Metro-East Illinois.
